nokia just announced a family of new smartphones powered by the updated symbian platform at nokia world in london.
the new devices include the E7, C7, C6 and N8 all with touchscreens. the nokia N8 is the main release, positioning itself
as an entertainment device with a powerful 12 megapixel camera. the E7 is a touchscreen device with a sliding keyboard,
designed for text-heavy users in business. in addition to the regular features it also provides direct, real-time and secure
email access. the nokia C7 and C6 are more focused on the social user, connecting to email and social networking sites
through their 3.5-inch and 3.2-inch AMOLED displays respectively. The N8 will be released this month, while the E7,
C7 and C6 will come out before the end of the year.
