'pre-handshake device'
many people in the world seem to be at war with each other. families split through
disagreements, gang warfare on the streets, politicians arguing, whole civilisations
and religions constantly battling. the 'pre-handshake device' designed by british designer
by dominic wilcox aims to help those who are at odds with each other make a first move
toward reconciliation.

ideal for visitors
looking to make up with someone, the 'pre-handshake device' is currently
on display at the uncomfortable
conversations exhibition during new york design week 2010.
this group exhibition challenges designers to create a piece which provokes an uncomfortable
yet important conversation between individuals. the resulting work ranges from houseware,
furniture, jewelry, fashion, graphics to video.
